  1. 1 fresh lemon.
  2. 3-5 garlic cloves (crushed)
  3. 1 tablespoon raw honey
  4. 1/2 tablespoon ginger (preferably fresh and grated)

  • Honey to taste

#4 Lemon, Ginger and Honey

Looking for a daily immune booster? you may prefer this recipe.

  • 2 lemons (thoroughly cleaned)
  • 2 piece fresh ginger (about the size of your pointer and middle finger)
  • Raw honey
  • 12 oz mason jar

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Slice lemons and ginger.
  • Place the lemon and ginger slices in the mason jar, alternating layers of each.
  • Slowly, pour honey over the lemon and ginger. Allow the honey to sink down and around the lemon and ginger slices. Fill jar to the top with honey and seal tightly.

You just need to get really creative with this one . Here is a simple one.

  • cup pineapple chunks, fresh or frozen
  • 1 cup coconut chunks, fresh or frozen
  • 1 lime thinly sliced

You can simple put in your favourites and experiment a bit.

How long can you keep fruit infused water in the fridge?

According to Meggan from Culinary Hill, infused water is best 2 to 4 hours after you’ve made it or allow it infuse overnight in the refrigerator.

She also mentioned that some ingredients last better than others. With herbs, for example, fresh basil lasts 2 to 3 days but rosemary can last up to a week. But personally, especially using fruits, make sure to use within 24 hours as they oxidize quickly when cut.
