Do’s

  • Thoroughly remove all makeup and clean the face before applying any face mask.
  • Do an allergy test for every ingredient.
  • Do a patch test for any mask before using on entire face.
  • You can use lime (less) and grapefruit instead of lemon in most cases.
  • Apply moisturizer after washing off the facial mask because lemon is acidic and can dry your skin.
  • Wear a sunscreen with high SPF. Lemon can increase sensitivity to sunlight

Don’ts

  • Don’t apply lemon juice directly on open cuts on your skin. It may cause a burning sensation.
  • Don’t apply these masks daily. It may dry out your skin or cause irritation.
  • Don’t save leftover mask. Always make a fresh batch for use.
